The military boots  styles were developed further when the up lander boot was brought in. This military boot was much the same as the Recon boot - but the mid sole  and toe section was upgraded  used the civilian outdoor mountain boots attributes; this has made the upland military  boots more suitable for tough and rugged terrain.
